By any calendar, in any state, bird season is over. Now, the wait begins.
But between now and the next opening day, we have time. Time to reflect, remember, gather in all the sights and sounds, the smells … how was your season? How many times have you showed someone a photo, re-told a story, bragged on your dog. Did you take credit for that easy bird that flew unscathed?
What’s on the docket for the off-season? Got a goal? What is it?
Now that we can’t hunt birds it’s all about coyotes and bird watching for us. It’s been a fun season getting my fiancé hunting and starting the blog to tell our stories. We definitely need some range time this year so that next season we are more prepared.
I guess a good goal would be to go at least once a month and do some skeet shooting.
You are “on target!”
Haha I see what you did there.
My goal is simply to get out again with my 2 new knees and Geneva, by then 1 yr old chocolate lab. Has been rough getting in training, but her smarts are making up for my shortened time with her training. She is making my recovery focused.
And good luck to you both.
