Okay, so you can’t get your own – yet. Live vicariously through this little project!
As you know, we’ve just completed assembly on my EZ Log USA sport utility building – up and ready for occupancy in two days! If you want more information, go here.
Now, time to “gear it up.” My two primary uses: a quiet place to write the book, and as a general, congenial, relaxing place for folk like us to hang out.
No restrictions except capacity – it is about 13′ x 13′ square. Power will be “green,” we are going to make an exercise of keeping this little structure off the grid.
What would you put inside or outside to make it “homey?”
Oh, yes, it looks like a perfectly good WOMAN cave, to me! Great design. Wish you had shots of the inside.
All great suggestions, but for the part where some work gets done, be it writing, entertaining or cleaning guns, you need a convertible table–one that goes from console (20×40″) to card (40×40″) to dining (40×80″). Adding a slide-out shelf under one end would provide correct height for ergonomic laptop (on battery power, of course…) use. Photos showing the 3 positions in several styles available at

Some taxidermy. Wind-up radio if you’re trying to stay off the grid. Two bird dogs.
At Walmart for $80. 12 volt cooler. Harbor Freight for around $150. 3 solar panels, lights, for 45 watts and need at least 2 marine deep cycle batteries and you got cold beer and lights. I prefer candles over oil lamps. A good propane wall mounted heaters are around $250. and our has 3 levels of heat and works good in Aframe about 1000 sq. ft. Looks great to go when in the dog house!
Make the deck a covered one to sit and ponder in the rain or sunshine. You will need a small wood stove or propane heater to break the chill and artwork on at least a couple of walls, preferably of bird dogs pointing in a grouse or chukar covert. One other necessity a small refrigerator for libations of the legal kind.
Definitely a deck out front and some chairs!
