A visit to my friends at Columbia Overland paid off with a bunch of goodies er, important offroad tools, to fit out the rig. And just in time for the Gun Dog Expo this weekend in Albany, Oregon! Stop by and visit, meet Buddy, play the Real Bird Bumper BRAWL and win a prize. Oh yeah, I’ll be doing my Bird Hunting Boot Camp too, so bring a pencil and your sense of humor.
A better reason to attend: My good friend Dez Young and his Llewellin Setter Dash will be speaking too! (Actually, Dez will do most of the talking.) See you at the Linn County Fairgrounds starting Friday.
Now, take a look at the newest gear:
AAAHHHH, Scott, I for some reason had my doubts in the truck build. I must at his time salute you for the choices you are making. I was sure you would miss the creatcher cumforts of the old van,I can see you have done your home work on little ad on’s to make this a real bird dogger! I love the awning , I can’t wait to see this rigg used in the field.
Good luck with the new season
Hunt hard, hunt safe .

Thanks Mike, couldn’t make the good choices without help from all of you plus the guys at Columbia Overland. Watch for it, the coffee’s always on. And stay tuned!
Scott,
Looking good, love the awning. You might want to look at a swing away tire mount in back to mount a lot of the shovels, racks, and cans. That’s a lot of windage on top of your truck for the mostly freeway miles we all drive to hunt.
Hi Bob, that is a consideration. Still working on bumpers, that may include your suggestion. My van had one that held a Hi-Lift jack behind the tire, too.
