What a season! I guess I should say seasons … bird season and TV broadcast season … were both full of teeth-clenching excitement and gratifying response from friends new and old, and Wingshooting USA viewers (more often, one and the same!).
Editor Tad Newberry and I are in the midst of editing, writing, and shooting new features for next fall’s shows which I hope you’ll enjoy. We’ll go from Washington to South Dakota to Kansas and many points in between in our quest to bring you on our hunts. Buddy got a lot of field time the past season, so you’ll see him work regularly, alongside a long list of other dog breeds from Lab to English Setter who will dazzle and amaze you.
Thank you to the thousands of viewers who voted in the on-air contests on Wingshooting USA. They benefitted kids, hunting dog rescue clubs and conservation groups with cash, national exposure, Native performance dog food, and in one case,a chance to hunt with me on the show. Voting is now closed, but stand by for news on winners and next year’s contests.
And a bigger thank you to everyone who recently voted in a survey of TV show viewers … the entire crew at Wingshooting USA is honored to receive your “favorite show” title, topping other fine shows by a margin of over two to one! I wish I could hunt in person with all those who also chose me as “favorite host,” and made favorable comments.
As always, you can watch current episodes here until we have new ones ready to air starting in late September.

Scott, thanks for all the hard work you and your crew put in to bring us your show. The variety of birds, terrain and dogs you put in front of us is wonderful. Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to many more seasons watching your show.
You’re welcome. I’m to the point where if it ain’t fun, I’m not gonna do it anymore. So there.
