Scott:
Besides putting in my two cents with the poll questions, I am following up and passing along that I did make sure my local radio outlet knows how much I appreciate and enjoy Scott Linden Outdoors on their airwaves. Keep up the great work and the great programming!
Scott,
I have a German Shorthair. He’s a 90# baby and there’s not much fat he’s just large. I hunt Pheasants, quail, rabbits and squirrels with him. Sabo is a house dog, good with the grandchild, gentil as can be. He is not what I would consider to be a typical shorthair. I have had Lab’s they were wonderfull dogs but this shorthair by far has to be the best, hands down, period!
My sometime hunting friend thinks I’m ruinning a good bird- dog but I think he was bred to hunt everything and anything and he does it well.
That’s the truly versatile dog. Germans hunt a mixed bag … probably more non-birds than birds in most cases, so why not? [As long as he's trained carefully.] I guess one of the tests would be defining “good bird dog,” and does he meet that definition for YOU? If you’re happy, you can be he is.
Awesome Show. Scott Linden Outdoors, one of the best Out there. Thanks…
You are welcome Jim. Did you vote?
There is nothing finer in the world than watching a top water lure like the Rapala float on the surface of a still body of water. Watching the riples flow away in silence. Just one twitch. Than another….. and then all hell breaks loose. I don’t care if I even catch the fish it’s just such a fantastic rush when they explode. My most vivid memories are of topwater fishing and I can remember some from 40 years ago. My wife and I honeymooned in Canada bass fishing on some remote lake (Crooked Lake Lodge), I remember her throwing a Strike King Foam Frog against a rock ledge. It just sat there for awhile and then she twitched it one time and this monster large mouth came up flying through the air with that foam frog dangling out of the corner of its mouth and snap!! went the line. Nothing left but a splash and riples. Tell me, can you remember a plastic worm hit with as much detail as a top water bite?
Never! That’s why I like dry flies, too.
I record Wingshooter USA on my DVR so I don’t miss a show. Have been upland hunting for over 40 years. Will be retiring soon and plan to train a dog for the hunt. I don’t think there is anything more beautiful than watching a well trained dog in the upland field.
Sometimes, even a poorly-trained dog is pretty beautiful (takes one to know one). Congrats on your retirement.
Hi Scott, I enjoy your TV show….keep up the good work. I haven’t been watching for long, but have you ever done any shows hunting Midwest grouse or woodcock? David I. from Wisconsin.
Thanks David. Haven’t done one yet, but hope to. May actually get to MN for grouse this fall.
I watch the Wingshooter USA and American Birdhunter when I can catch the shows. I also would like to see some shows on dog training. I love the shows keep them coming.
You’ll get training tips throughout Wingshooting USA so watch carefully, especially the “Buddy & Me” segment. Thanks for watching.
I would like to see waterfowl shows year around. Wingshooter USA and American Birdhunter get me through the off season with the occasional duck hunt, but I would like more.
While I am at it, I like seeing the hunting, but I would like to see more tips on the shows. A couple of shows do dog training or conservation tips; however, it would be great to learn more about hunting ducks and geese.
I’d love to learn more about waterfowl, too! That’s not our show’s focus, but you WILL get tips throughout. But no pop quiz, I promise.
You are the best Scott. Nicely done each week here on KSOO 1140 AM Radio, here in Sioux Falls, SD. I love getting up early on a Saturday and checking out all you have to offer. Keep up the great work and the great programs.
What’s the strangest thing your fishing/hunting buddy brought along?
He brought his wife which would have been fine but there was no accommodations for her among all the guys. It made everyone feel uncomfortable and unexpected. He and his wife excused themselves from the camp which was a good.
Scott,
Saturday morning 27 Feb, 6:45am. Just listened to the radio show Scott Linden Outdoors (1110 kbend) in Bend Or and just caught the last of the interview with Shane Mahoney. Fantastic !!!! Sounds like a good excuse to invite him to Bend and the Tower Theater for a good fund raiser and an extremely entertaining evening for Sportsmen of all disciplines. I would pay
$30.00 to $40.00 to come listen. Any way to hear this again and to pass it on ?

Thank you!

After watching wingshooting usa and seeing Mr. Linden shoot I wouldnt worry if they were in my spot. I figure they would just spread the birds out for my dogs. LOL
Hah! I’m just a dedicated conservationist.
